Sony India adds two more Cyber shot cameras in store

Mumbai: Sony India has introduced two new Cyber-shot W series cameras, DSC-W190 with 12.1 mega pixels and DSC-W180 10.1 mega pixels. The camera has a 1/2.33-type Super HAD CCD sensor and up to 12.1 megapixel resolution, combined with 3x optical zoom and up to 18x Smart Zoom, they enable large format printing of photos with high resolution and vivid detail.

Face Detection and Digital SteadyShot features are the newly added features in the DSC-W180 and DSC-W190, which deliver clear images. Face Detection allows the cameras to easily detect up to eight faces in a scene and automatically adjusts focus, exposure and white balance, creating optimal capture settings for high quality photos.

Digital SteadyShot reduces the poor results of camera shake by taking two images in rapid succession and then superimposing the images to reduce the appearance of camera shake.

The cameras are available in different colors like metallic red, black and silver, have a 18.7mm metal chassis.

With the Smile Shutter feature, the user can simply focus on a face and the camera shoots automatically when the person within the frame smiles. A high sensitivity mode of up to ISO 3200 also eliminates blur when shooting in dimly lit environments or when capturing fast-moving subjects.

The cameras have scene selection modes like High Sensitivity, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Landscape, Soft Snap, Snow, and Beach, optimizing camera settings automatically for the user’s environment.

The new cameras features Picture Motion Browser ver. 4.2.01 software for photo and video management. eDeco allows users to easily add unique, mood-enhancing elements to their photos and videos. This includes matching photo frames, background music, text and sound effects.

Movie Tracer allows the user to construct panoramic images using a combination of movie frames.

New 12MP camera phone by Nokia available in stores by 2010?

With the inclusion of new advanced features, phones can do much more from just receiving and making calls. According to Mobileburn, the company will be introducing one or more 12MP camera phones soon.

It is believed that, these yet to be released handsets will sport an optical zoom and claim to be better than other camera phones. The exclusive feature of the phone will be the super high pixel camera which will capture clear and crisp pictures. Apart from these camera and display details, nothing much is known about this yet to be released phone.

The official name of the handset is still not known but this device will surely provide competition to other camera phones in the market. Although the price is not known, the new 12MP camera phone is said to be available in stores by the end of 2009 and pricing details are kept under wraps. This digital camera phone from Nokia is surely a lookout for.
